ACADEMY SKILLS COACHES

ABERDEEN | EDINBURGH | GLASGOW

ABOUT US

Apex Rugby Academy offers young rugby players high-quality, accessible opportunities to take their performance to the next level.

We aim to achieve this through our fun, engaging and inclusive rugby camps and skills clinics delivered by Scotland's leading professional players and coaches.

ACADEMY SKILLS COACHES

We are actively recruiting ‘Academy Skills Coaches’ (Forwards & Backs) to deliver positional skill specific sessions at our Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow hubs.

A strong background of playing and/or coaching the game to a high standard is essential. Candidates should also have a track record of coaching and building a rapport with young players.

SKILLS CLINICS

We believe there is limited opportunities and expertise for young rugby players across Scotland to develop their individual skill set. During the season most training sessions are team based and during the off season most players either hit the gym or don’t pick up a rugby ball.

Through our skills clinics we aim to help young rugby players take their performance to the next level through our 3 step process of Task, Context & Variable.

TASK: Skill

CONTEXT: Game Situation / Relevance

VARIABLE: Progression - Skills Under Pressure

The skills clinic format maximizes the amount of touches players get on the ball, and allows our players to focus all of their attention on the key coaching points.
