OCTOBER RUGBY CAMPS
”Apex Rugby Academy are doing a fantastic job. I am delighted to be associated with them. Any attempt to introduce the mental approach to a very physical game is to be lauded.
I have been most taken by the attention to detail in the camps."
Glasgow Warriors & Scotland
It is rare these days that players are able to spend quality time improving their individual skills as most training sessions are team based drills and games.
At Apex Rugby Academy, we believe for our players to fully express themselves and develop, we must provide the best coaches possible to guide the players on their individual journeys.
Therefore, we have recruited some of the country's leading coaches & players to deliver clinics for players who are serious about taking the performance to the next level.
Players will have the unique opportunity to learn the latest rugby techniques, skills and trends from the modern game whilst spending valuable time developing their individual skill set relevant to their preferred playing position.
Our professional players skills clinics are separate to the SRU and independently run.
Apex Rugby Academy offers 1-2-1 & small group sessions which are tailored and designed to help players who are serious about developing their skill set & fitness levels relevant to their playing position.
Each session is tailored and delivered to challenge players' skill and fitness level as well as their psychological understanding of their game.
For 1-2-1 sessions focusing on conditioning and fitness levels, the players will be able to analyse their fitness levels accurately with with our GPS Performance Tracker and analysis software.
The session's footage & information is then presented back to each player online for further review and feedback.
Apex Rugby Academy is the first organisation to offer grassroots players & teams in Scotland the opportunity to have a dedicated Sports Psychologist.
At our camps, players will have the opportunity to take part in our Sports Psychology 'Educational Workshop'. Players will learn how to deal with pressure, stress, anxiety, disappointment and help manage their emotions through mental skills training. The sessions will be a mixture between classroom based and most importantly practical based.
Our Sports Psychologist Jeffrey Webster will walk around groups and games offering advice to players and teams on how to handle certain situations.
Jeffrey is also available to work with players on a 1-2-1 basis, run team workshops, offer mental skills training (on and off the field), performance analysis and observation and motivational talks.
Our 'Hands & Feet' Foodbank Programme has recently been launched to have a positive impact on local communities and serve those who are in desperate need.
We will collect non perishable items at our camps and skills clinics on behalf of the Trussell Trust who then distribute to various locations across Scotland.
