1-2-1 & SMALL GROUPS
Apex Rugby Academy offers 1-2-1 & small group sessions which are tailored and designed to help players who are serious about developing their skill set & fitness levels relevant to their playing position.
Each session is tailored and delivered to challenge players' skill and fitness level as well as their psychological understanding of their game.
For 1-2-1 sessions focusing on conditioning and fitness levels, the players will be able to analyse their fitness levels accurately with with our GPS Performance Tracker and analysis software.
The session's footage & information is then presented back to each player online for further review and feedback.
At Apex Rugby Academy, we believe performance analysis in the modern game is crucial to the development of the 'Player' & 'Team'.
Our coaches & analysts have previously worked with the Scottish Rugby Union, Edinburgh Rugby & Glasgow Warriors.
We use industry leading technology, software & equipment to ensure we provide a professional and informative service.
Apex Rugby Academy offers Continuing Professional Development for coaching teams and PE Teachers.
CPD Training will be delivered by a UKCC Level 2 Qualified Rugby Coach & PE Teacher.
If this is something your department would benefit from please get in touch.
Please note we are independently run and not affiliated with the SRU.
PE LESSON PLANS
Apex Rugby Academy is committed to 'Get It Right For Every Child' to ensure PE is a positive learning experience.
We share the aim of the Scottish Curriculum to enable each learner to achieve the Four Capacities of 'Successful Learners, Confident Individuals, Effective Contributors & Responsible Citizens.'
Not every PE Teacher will include tackling in their lessons but with research suggesting that PE Teachers don't feel confident enough to practically teach 'Quality Rugby PE Lessons' we believe it is our responsibility to provide FREE learning resources where rugby can be taught safely.
Apex Rugby Academy is the first organisation to offer grassroots players & teams in Scotland the opportunity to have a dedicated Sports Psychologist.
At our camps, players will have the opportunity to take part in our Sports Psychology 'Educational Workshop'. Players will learn how to deal with pressure, stress, anxiety, disappointment and help manage their emotions through mental skills training. The sessions will be a mixture between classroom based and most importantly practical based.
Our Sports Psychologist Jeffrey Webster will walk around groups and games offering advice to players and teams on how to handle certain situations.
Jeffrey is also available to work with players on a 1-2-1 basis, run team workshops, offer mental skills training (on and off the field), performance analysis and observation and motivational talks.
