What will my child be learning at camp?

At our camps we adopt put the ‘individual first’ then the ‘player second’. We want all our players to develop their physical, mental, emotional and social skills through the game of rugby.

Each day players will be focusing on a key theme (Eg: Attack / Defence) through games and deliberate practice through our forwards and backs split. We strive to keep our chat to a minimum to maximise as much physical activity as possible.

To ensure we maintain a high quality learning environment our dedicated coaching team check for understanding through 3 key steps:

  1. Tell me (Explain what you have been learning)

  2. Show me (Demonstrate what you have been learning)

  3. Teach me (Teach a friend the skill or key point you have been learning)

If our players can leave camp each having achieve these 3 steps then as a coaching team we are satisfied the learning environment has been engaging, purposeful, active, inclusive, fun and safe.

Who are the coaches?

At Apex Rugby Academy Camps, we believe for our players to fully express themselves and develop, we must provide the best coaches possible to guide the players on their individual journeys.
